Day 1 of New York Fashion week started off a little rocky by arriving at the Hotel around 1 am (flight was delayed due to both weather and wildfires that were going on the on the west coast) and had to wake up in a few hours to attend the first show. The first show I attended was the Indonesian Diversity show SS18 which was Curated by six Indonesian designers that showcased different style and approaches towards contemporary fashion.

The creators displayed conventional craftsmanship, for example, batik — a kind of texture whose coloring procedure includes hot wax — and in addition unassuming style inclines that have developed from Indonesia’s expansive Muslim population.
