More often than not, I am usually itching to pick out a spring outfit long before winter is over. See, spring is the season of possibilities. It is like a new dawn. I cannot downplay style in spring. It is immoral, perhaps unconventional. After a season of cold and extreme cloth layering, all I want to do is showcase style which is how I end up picking most of my spring outfits. It is usually a combination of impatience with winter and renewed hope for spring. A Spring Forward fever, maybe?
Usually, I love to don statement outfits, shake myself up a little. Do something beyond the ordinary.
This year’s spring, I picked a sheer spring floral Kimono I liked it because the material was light. It felt all kinds of good against the skin. The sleeves fell shortly below the elbow and the floral patterns were new and unexplored. This particular Kimono fell slightly below my hips helping me keep my legs well toned for the spring.
I paired this up with a lace short, picked out of my collection. See, lace speaks for itself. It is not only about the texture but also the femininity. It cannot fail to turn heads. It says daring without quite having to shout. The short is quite comfortable and its color blends in with the floral kimono. The white t-shirt usually does the trick. It is easy to wear given its ease in blending in with floral prints. It may fall below the shorts or may be tucked in. Either way, it works out. He conventional white top is equally easy to bypass thereby letting the floral Kimono and other pieces shine.
I chose to complete this look with a pair of brown Leather ankle boots. These were coffee in color with a silver strap that speaks volumes. Dress-down Spring!
